The PALS news feeds use a data format called RSS to let you automatically receive updates concerning the PALS service areas, without having
to constantly visit our site. It's an option we provide for the
convenience of members who like to get information that
way. Because RSS is a form of a data-coding method called
eXtensible Markup Language, a feed offered by a site is often
labeled with an icon similar to this:

To get a PALS feed, you use software called an aggregator or RSS reader and subscribe to a feed. In general, you can subscribe to a feed by pasting its Web address into a form on the aggregator. Subscribing to a number of different feeds makes it easy to keep on top of news from a variety of sources.
