Making the Match for School and Youth Services Librarians
"Making the Match: The Right Book for the Right Reader at the Right Time: Grades 4-12"
This program will focus on books, old and new, and how to connect them to kids in the most effective way. Knowing the kids, knowing the books, and knowing the strategies for bringing the two together can help motivate ALL kids to want to read.
The program will be held on Friday, Oct. 5th from 9:00-2:30 at the Mendota Civic Center. The cost is $30 which includes lunch. Please register if you plan to attend. If you have questions, please contact Jane janel@palsnet.info or Norma normaa@palsnet.info.

Great news!!
Hi all,
I just received the letter saying that our LSTA grant "Keeping the Door Open for Tweens and Teens" for $4,500 has been awarded! This will provide us the opportunity to bring in full day training through YALSA (the Young Adult Librarians' division of ALA)on how to better serve 6th-12th graders in the school and public library.
