OCLC
The Illinois State Library provides all PALS member libraries in the state with access to several FirstSearch databases. PrairieCat members are, and other libraries may be, governing members of OCLC through a paid contract with the Illinois State Library. Governing members have access to OCLC's cataloging and resource sharing (interlibrary loan) services.

“Reciprocal borrowing” means that a person holding a valid library card from an Illinois public library which is a full member of one of the regional systems may borrow on-site from any other public library in the systems.
